Neuland Social Club Application

Neuland Social Club

A new kind of social club in a beautiful space where makers, creatives, doers and visionaries get together to inspire and support one another and to have fun, located in High Falls, NY. Membership is free.

Reciprocity (the magic sauce)

As a member you will be responsible for one evening event per year at Neuland Social Club where you share or teach or perform something for the other members. If you have ideas for events that expand into multiple evenings, those are of course also welcome.

In return you have access to 51 evening events per year provided by the other members (for a total of 52 events per year, one event per week).

That’s the magic sauce, 1 event for 51 returns!

We might expand to 104 members and 104 events (2 events per week).

We will also have weekly Social Hangs without programming to just hang out or co-work among other members.

Event Guidelines

  • Your event should be educational or entertaining (or both).

  • Something you have some expertise in.

  • Something you are passionate about.

  • Ideally it has an element of delight (we experience delight when something is novel or surprising).

  • Your event should be turn key, meaning you are responsible for the entire event (set up, execution, clean up). We provide the space/land.

Your event should fall into one of these 8 Categories:

  1. Movement / Exercise

  2. Skillshare / Learning

  3. Building / Making

  4. Creativity (without purpose)

  5. Nature

  6. Farming / Food

  7. Music / Performance

  8. Art / Design

Thought Partnership

If you would like our input or help fine tuning your event, we have lots of experience with events and can happily be your thought partners.

The execution of the event will be your responsibility (see turn key above). We provide the space/land.

Neuland Finances

We, the founders, are providing the space and land at no charge and covering all operational and maintenance costs associated with the space and land.

In the future there may be a small monthly member contribution to cover the costs of the growing community (for cleaning and community management). This would most likely be in the form of donations to the Neuland 501c3.
