We (Flore and Dirk) both grew up in Europe, Flore in France and Dirk in England and Germany. We both came to the US after college and noticed over the years of living in the US that people here spend much less time hanging out and connecting with one another because there is a higher focus on career and less free time … and because people here tend to be more transient and less rooted in one place than they are in Europe.

This experience has been our motivation to bring great people together in fun, engaging, productive and giving ways which is something we’ve both been passionate about for years.

Dirk sold his company LifeLabs Learning (leadership training) in 2023 and when we saw this property with its houses and barn and fields and forests and creek and river, the idea for Neuland was born … to create an awesome place for great people to get together and inspire one another … and a place to incubate and create cool things … and a place to give back.

We originally wanted to create a cult but couldn’t find the right outfits so we decided to take this route instead.

Neuland will be a moving adventure that will grow and take shape with the people who want to be a part of it and we are always looking for fellow adventurers!
